After seeing so many beautiful personalized aisle runners of course I had to make one for our wedding! At first I thought I would do as other brides have done and go to Kinko’s for a large printout of our monogram (or name logo, whatever you want to call it since ours isn’t really a true monogram). However, just the monogram/logo wasn’t enough for me. Oh no; I found a verse I really liked and didn’t have a place to use it yet so this was the PERFECT opportunity! The final dimensions of that area are about 3′ x 5′ so I thought that might be difficult, not to mention expensive, to have recreated at Kinko’s.

Instead I rented an overhead projector. Remember those dinosaurs that teachers used in grade school? I ALWAYS wanted to use one but never had the need. I checked it out yesterday and have all weekend to play with it! (Too bad I also have a pile of homework.)

I’m doing my best to take photos throughout the process. Even after the 4+ hours I spent on this last night, I’ve got quite a bit left to do so as always, I’ll keep you posted.

50 feet of crafty creation…with very little room for error!!

I still have to finish painting 80% of it, then I’m going to attempt to put black ribbon around the ENTIRE thing. Please keep your fingers crossed that I don’t mess up – or it’s back to the drawing board!!
