Laundry Room Project
Handy Andy’s next project is cabinets and organization for the laundry room:
Ugh. Usually it’s somewhat picked up and I like to keep the door closed anyway. (Out of sight out of mind sort of mentality, which may be the underlying problem!) Andy, on the other hand, seems to like to leave the door open whether it’s messy or not. He wants to build some more cabinets and shelves so we can store the toilet paper and paper towel rolls as well as our every day clutter – lunch totes, my gigantic purse and random bags that I carry (notice the two or three tossed on top of the dryer; yep, I’m a total “green” bag lady) and all his random stuff.
Stay tuned for our (his) progress!

That’ll be so nice. The majority of my inspiration photos from magazines are laundry rooms, which is humorous because we don’t have a laundry room. I’m totally jealous of your space. Cannot wait to see what he comes up with. I didn’t even know this room existed in your house. (I guess I should have assumed it did.)
Great job w/ the living room, can’t wait to see the laundry room. This fellow organizer is proud!!!
Love the laundry room cabinets! Do you have the tutorial of how you constructed the wall cabinet part? I’m in the middle of my renovation now. What a great idea!
Thanks! No, we didn’t do a tutorial on the cabinets but you might get a better idea of how they are constructed from this post: http://themeckleys.com/blog/2009/07/diy-cabinets-on-the-cheap/
